Hello, I'm brand new to lutherie and this forum. I'm looking to eventually build an electric guitar completely from scratch, but I have exactly 0 idea how to start. Any advice>

Hi and welcome to the forum. Probably the easiest way to get started is to build a kit from a reputable supplier like StewMac.

Welcome, get yourself a copy of hiscocks’ “ making an electric guitar”
It’ll get you going.

After you get a book or two, buy a beater and start by re-fretting it, then do a complete set-up. This will give you a soft-start on accumulating/ assessing the needed tools and set-up skills. Most everything else can be done with basic tools, if that is your desire.

Plenty of books here at this link - including the Hiscock book Jim recommended. Cathy will sell them to you for pennies on the dollar.
