Hi… have a Gibson Standard Goldtop 50’s… the G and B tuners work ok until the very final tiny adjustment then stick and click … driving me crazy… its not sticking in the nut… everything is lubed… any ideas greatly appreciated .. )-: |

What Chris said if it's the tuners themselves that are clicking and not a noise coming from the nut slot with a pinched string it's tuner replacement time and it gets worse too. You can't buy two tuners you have to purchase and entire set. If you bought the thing new I would make the case for a warranty replacement these are less than a year old. Just make sure that the tuners are not coming apart and that the screw in the button is snugged down just to the point of a little stiffness in the tuner when you turn it. But tuners go bad frequently, sadly and are often made poorly. |
