Having never made an all maple neck before, does one want to seal the holes for position markers with vinyl sealer or similar prior to installation with superglue? |

Probably not needed, but when in doubt do a test on some maple scrape |

No need to. Just a tiny dot of glue in the bottom of the hole, press in the markers, let dry and sand flush. |

Superglue doesn't seem to discolor maple the way it does spruce. But, like he said, you might want to test your CA on a scrap of the specific maple. |

But... maybe add the glue after the dot is in. I used to put the glue in first, until I pressed on a dot one day only to have some CA squeeze out land in my eye. I quickly amended my procedure after that. |
