I don't think I've seen this on the forum here. If it's old news, forgive me and delete it.

A new take on electrics. I thought it was kind of interesting.

Wow!
If I was a rich player,
I'd get me one!
Thanks for posting!
The guy playing is pretty good too.

Finally, a guitar suitable for post minimalist musicians.

While it's certainly not new, it's a tribute to how ahead of his time Allan Gittler was when he developed this design in the 70's that it still looks new and modern today.

My favourite feature is the multi-channel pickups - one output per string - which is an obsession of mine.

The instrument's claim to fame is that it was featured in the Police video for their song Synchronicity II. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQeB51q4ubY
(all the official video versions are gone.)

Very cool design in my opinion and I'd love to try one out someday.

It's been acquired by a number of big museums. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gittler_guitar

I remember the originals back in the 80's 90's?

Very interesting guitar, but I think this new company is missing the mark on pricing. If it was priced from the high $2k to the mid $3k, they would probably have quite a lot of demand. Perhaps they can't charge that little and still make a profit because of some aspect of the manufacturing. If that is the case then I don't think it is a commercially viable product, no matter how cool.
At $6k they are competing in a rareified market where a gee whiz factor will only carry them so far.

Does that make me old?

Not my cuppa tea. Not by any means. Just my personal reaction, you understand.
