Post subject:  Commercial quality finishes

I'm looking for a finishing system that's suitable for a high volume electric guitar body shop.
I prefer to stay away from the old school NC finishes and UV finishes won't work for me.
I'm spraying in an automotive style booth with good quality guns.
Clear coats would be color sanded and buffed.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried products like lines offered by PPG.
I've tried PPG OMNI acrylic and enamel single stage and their acrylic urethane base coat/clear coat in the past but found it was way too soft.

Do you have any insight as to what the big guys are using?
Any recommendations based on what you use?

Most of the big guys that are getting away from NC are gravitating towards UV cured polyesters. It's a production time thing.

I Use PPG DCU2021 clear with good results, though it is a high cost option. I don't feel it is too soft, in fact it is very close to what PRS uses on their high end. I really like conversion varnish myself. I use ML campbell's Krystal.I see you are in Canada, ML Campbell is a Canadian comapny and has many fine wood finish products if the CV is not to your liking.
