Here is a recently finished guitar. It sounds very typical of my maple ones. This is koa mahogany laminated. Spruce contour brace and maple block. It has a curly mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and overlay. The pickups are Throbaks. Waffleback Kliuson tuners and gold hardware.

Ken,
CONGRATULATIONS! I think that's about as pretty a thinline guitar as I have ever seen in my life. No kidding. I guess my esthetic sensibilities must run on a parallel track to yours! That guitar is just pure-D yummy.

Ken, an absolute stunner! I agree "subtle and stunning at the same time", great descriptor.

Do you make your own laminates Ken?

Yes, all parts were made by me. Including the laminates which are 4 ply. Mahogany_Mahogany (cross)-mahogany (cross)-Koa. The rings are brazilian rosewood as are the fingerboard and truss cover. The fingerboard markers are plastic but since they are a little see-through, I guilded the back with gold leaf. It shines through although subtly.

I wasn't prepared to like this one. I am a traditional type of guy, vintage always looks best to me. But this one took on a life of its own. I tried to help it look more vintage-y though.

Thanks again.

I forgot to say it has Throbak pickups. Bright, rich, woody sounding.
