I have someone who is requesting a volume control that will have the same overall dynamic change to the guitars volume, but able to do it in a much shorter turning span on the knob. In other words, lets say a tradition volume knob turns from 1 to 10. He wants a volume knob that turns from just 1 to 5 but has the same overall effect - it just gets the job done much quicker and with much less turning of the knob. In effect the knob would only turn half as much but have the same outcome when turned to either full end.

Where do I find such a potentiometer and what is it called?

Here's a lead. Never bought from that place and never used what I call a short throw-right or wrong.

LOL, thanks Dan.
When I use to gig I used a vol. pedal for those steel guitar licks...didn't have enough fingers (that I could get to work) to pick all those strings and work a knob too! :)
