Post subject:  Re-profiling a Fender Neck

I bought a cheap Squire Strat at action to practice fretwork on. I think the neck profile is very thick and clunky. Is there any reason I cannot reshape it to my liking? idunno

Thanks,

So long as you leave enough wood over the truss rod, no reason at all.

I did it on a Squier Strat using the 60's Fender neck profile template from here

Worked fine.
