My latest try at building an electric guitar.

Lacewood is wonderful material for back and neck. Easy to work with, looks great with all the perpenticular (to the grain) rays and sound seems to be decent. I'm also very happy with the alumitone pickup.

There aren't many solid body guitars that catch me eye, but yours sure does! I really like the fact that you allowed the beautiful wood to speak for itself. I think it's outstanding. I am curious to know how you filled the checks in the top.
Congrats on a beauty.

Hardest part was actually gluing the top onto the body. Pieces for warped, full of cracks and extremely fragile. I had to glue both bookmatched pieces onto the lacewood seperately. Unfortunately it didn't leave me with perfect middle seam but the outcome is acceptable. After that the top was flooded with thin epoxy and all the cracks, voids and holes became stable.

I was pessimistic about using a top full of cracks and imperfections but I'm happy with the outcome.

I would have never given a thought to using lacewood for a neck, but it obviously works - so, great!
Nice axe, by the way.
