Hi all, I recently had to leave my workshop and in the process of moving my matching wood control cover was lost! ( very angry ) I was wondering if anyone had made a control cover out of bakalite before and if so where can I get some blank material ? |

What's wrong with plastic pickguard material? Bakelite had its heyday before WWII - not a lot of it around anymore. |

It just seemed a shame to replace it with plastic, I really like the look of Bakelite pickguards. Open to any suggestions, I'll probably end up with some kind of metal. |

Man, that really blows losing the matching cover. I'd go with a wood cover even if it is a different species. I just don't like plastic on guitars. That is a sweet looking guitar. What wood species did you use? I'd like to see some more pictures. Best of luck, Dan |
