I bought the dinky template from guitartemplates.com….its comes with a pointy neck which I don’t like so I extended my strat neck template to make it 25.5 which it’s supposed to be….thing is to make it work I’m left with the heel end looking blank the way it is….all the parted out dinky’s I see online have strat style heels but this one came with a square one so I really get cant specs off anything if I was to buy something to see were its different….i even moved the spring cavity down ¼ inch to get it this good…I still have maybe 1/8-3/16 of fretboard from the hell to the end were its squared off if I wanted to take a little more off but I don’t think it will make a difference……I know I can even just trim it all off like a 21 fret strat neck but I want to try to keep the square there like an original…
Anyway, how weird does it look if someone showed you this as a build? Still waiting on the bridge pup in the mail…

Don't know if this will help or not. This is an origional 1980's Charvell Jackson 22 fret neck I have. The heal is rounded.

Wait a minute.... are you talking about the actual scale length of the instrument?
(from the nut to the bridge)
Or are you taking measurements from the end of the neck to the bridge?
(if you are, you are doing it wrong)
