Hi all ...I am new to the forum and am an amateur when it comes to guitar repair. Ive built a few kits before learning as I go for both poly and nitro. I have a question if you all care to assist. I have a new guitar that has some colored specs on the side of its beige binding covering an area of about 3 inches. The specs are trapped in the poly probably on the binding. The guitar is finished with polyurethane. I could used some advise on how to procede. My first thoughts are to scrape/sand the area of the binding to remove the specs and unfortunately the poly and then to apply crazy glue to fill in and perhaps fine sandpaper and buff. Any thoughts? The area its on is halfway up the neck.
I hope I haven't repeated this topic.
Thanks

Not many options for poly repairs. It's either CA or refinish. A CA repair will likely not be invisible either so decide if that will bother you more than the spots. Sand out and refinish the neck would be the best way IMHO.
