is there such a tune o matic? one that has more intonation capability over a standard one?

The original ABR1 has very little travel, the newer Nashville one has more. Which one are you referring to?

Yep. I replaced an ABR1 with a Nashville on an LP. Did the trick.
It does seem silly to have to flip some of the saddles but that's the way they are.
