Hey all,
This one is essentially a Les Paul, but with a different headstock shape so I can sell it without getting sued. duh

The top is maple, the body is hog. The other wood parts are ebony. The pickups are ones I made myself, wound to Gibson specs. Plays like butter, and sounds great too. I'm pretty happy with it. Except for the finish, which is not quite up to par. Finish, btw, is clear lacquer over black lacquer. It's wired for series/parallel. I chambered it to shave a pound or two off the weight.

Gorgeous! Makes me want to build one.

(By the way, the knives and swords on your site are amazing. I want a Roman Gladius! :))

Philip,

I'm about to carve my first two Les Paul tops... What method did you use?

Pretty sweet. What did you use for the inlaid letters? Glitter? It's pretty cool looking whatever it is.

Sweet Philip!
You are a brave fellow going with a black finish, well done!
Reminds me of my beloved '69 custom that my ex sold for $500. Had some tarnish on the gold, but not a single scratch on it.
I dig the precise fret board binding.
