I didn't have much luck with the search function here, but... I am building a new LP style body for an Epiphone neck I have. The neck has already been dowel rod repaired because the holes were getting hogged out. The body I have also already dowel rod repaired at the bridge because I've messed this up before. The bridge is currently mounted. Right now my neck pocket is a little too wide, maybe 3/32", so the neck rocks or wobbles in its pocket. When the neck is bolted in position, the strings are all leaned toward the big E string, also maybe 3/32". What would be the best way to fix this? I'd really like to only do this one more time... Thanks! |

Measure proper and shim the neck pocket accordingly to your centerline. |

As it turns out, the nifty automotive interior trim removal tool I have worked fantastic as a tool to remove the bridge posts. They came right up. And I just happen to have a 1/2" chunk of dowel rod left over from the last time to plug the holes and try again tomorrow. So now maybe the best question is how to mark and drill the holes for the bridge while the beck is bolted in? I screwed this up last time. So much for the natural wood finish I had hoped it would be... |
