Do these jack plate screws look right to you? DSC_9006 by markpotato, on Flickr DSC_9007 by markpotato, on Flickr Those just don't look right to me. I contacted customer service, sent them these pictures and they confirmed that these are the right screws for the jack plates they sell. They're tiny and the head taper fits through the hole. If you ask me, I think these are a pretty bad match. I mean I can use them but the jack plates are obviously machined for a larger screw. |

Those look like chrome screws for a gold cover, and they seem to be small also. |

Yeah I did get chrome screws, but they're the exact same size as the gold one's, just a different finish. I thought chrome on gold would look fine, but the right size screws would have been nice. |

If their customer service tells you the obviously wrong screw is the right one....they couldn't care less what you think. This looks...and IS shoddy. It isn't that hard to design a countersink around an available screw and have it look like it's suppose to. |

That jack plate also has a defect on it. Looks like a small pit near the top hole in the pic. |

i dunno about the screws, but the plate looks wonky. i have always been able to find nice stainless oval head "wood" screws that match fender type bolt-ons at Ace/Home Depot/Sears Hardware, etc....stainless will look weird up against chrome though...however you don't seem concerned with that |

Yeah I'll probably try to find some screws at a home improvement store. These were too cheap to request a refund. The guy eventually agreed that they're not the right size and said he will look into finding the "right" screws. |

Filippo Morelli wrote: You got the wrong answer. Lol...wrong enough that if I were the guy's boss...I'd want to know my sales guys could identify a proper screw, countersink assembly before I let him near my customers. Two votes for talking to someone else, Chameleon. |
