I have an old cheap 3/4 size electric that I was thinking about modifying. I have some extra parts lying around and work has me traveling all over the place. so i need a good little guitar to carry around with me. The modifying I plan on doing is a new bridge new tuners new nut level the frets put shielding in the pick up cavity and tone control cavity add new seymore duncan 59 humbucker and of course a good set up. the Question I have is with the bridge. I have an extra locking roller bridge thats not in use. I was wondering if it should be find to use with a 3/4 guitar. here is a pic of a guitar that is very similar to the one I have. only difference is mine only has one humbucker

i guess i should clarify Im worried about the spacing. I dont want to have the high e sting getting caught on fret wire or anything like that.

I would even go so far as to measure the nut width, width at the twelfth and the heel, and draw a rough layout of the neck and the bridge location, string spacing at the bridge, and the string path, just like if you were going to build one. Won't take long, and then you will know. Alternatively, you could compare the string spacing of both bridges and get a decent idea. If the new bridge is wider you're probably gonna have problems.
