Anyone help me out IDing the top wood on this guitar? Looks amazing, love the deep red!

Gonna need a much bigger picture than that to make any reliable judgement. Might just be painted plywood... or stained maple, fitting with the violin style bits.

That almost certainly isn't the natural color of the wood. It's been colored/dyed. The only wood that comes close to that color is bloodwood, and I'm highly doubtful that's what it is. That being said, it's a 7 string with humbuckers that looks like it was designed for playing metal, so I'm gonna go with Mahogany.

Please repost a clear, in focus picture of the woods grain. Otherwise I wood say thats extruded plastic painted to look red.

Like the cort curbow basses with genuine "luthite" bodies.

But if you want to get close to that color, Id say use cocobolo and let it oxidize in the sun a couple hours.
