I purchased a quart of Behlen Qualalacq recently.
I'm brushing it on a Dulcimer made of Elm, Maple, and Mahogany.
So far, this stuff seems great. The main solvent is acetone and it is pretty thin straight out of the can.
I brushed two thick coats onto some Elm and Mahogany, buffed it with steel wool and polished it the next day.
It is very hard. I cannot scratch it with a fingernail. It dries as fast as shellac.
Anyone have any experience or problems using it?
Thanks,
DZ
