I wired a 4PDT switch to act as a series/parallel switch for two humbucking pickups and upon inspection, I realized I accidentally wired it to send the south coil in parallel to the opposite pickups north coil, giving these three way switch combinations: inner coils/all coils/outer coils. I rewired it to work as originally intended, selecting: bridge parallel/both parallel/neck parallel, but it didn't sound nearly as good as the previous combination, which was brighter and clearer. Sounded great. So I wired it back the first way, and plan on repeating this wiring for future guitars.
