Well, This thing took me a good long while to get done, and there are a few things that I will change for the next go around, but overall, I am very happy with the way it turned out. The guitar is maple over aspen over mahogany, with ebony accents. It has a Filtertronic in the neck with coil tap, and a 57 classic in the bridge with coil tap. 3-way with center blend. It also has a Bigsby B-7 with a locking tunomatic. Camel bone nut. The guitar sounds really good. I had mess around with the 57 classic to get a better blend between the two pickups, but in all, the guitar is extremely versatile. Stephen |

Ooohhh, nice work Stephen! Really clean, tasteful design as always. You never fail to impress. There's a center block, I assume, right? And what will you change for next time? Any sound clips? |

With the current set up, there is a master volume with PP neck tap, and master passive tone with PP bridge tap. The 3rd knob controls the blend with the center position of the 3 way. Concerning what I would change - Well, I set the neck very high with this guitar - attempting to raise the string plane and make the guitar feel a little more like the older Gretsch's (about 0.6" from the body) - I think with the next guitar, I will drop it back down to about half of that number. Also, while the Bigsby is respectable, I think for my general audience, a really nice suspended wood string retainer would be nicer - both aesthetically and for the function of the guitar. But it was fun to put one on a guitar. Bigsby was hugely influential in the birth of the electric guitar - so it was nice to pay homage to that. Also, I would like to leverage this design to go to a fuller hollowbody, wherein I would eliminate a great deal of the center block- so almost building a full archtop - but in the build style of an electric - if that makes sense.
