The newest Luthier Tips du Jour instructional video is on Youtube. The topic is a really cool electric guitar finish. Subtitles are available in both English and Portuguese and you can translate them into any other language by using the CC option on Youtube.
As always, comments and discussion are welcome.
Enjoy!

Thanks Robbie.
I like that green,
and that maple,
and the way you made the sides of the maple look like binding.
Just curious as to how many coats of clear.
I've done some repair on a Gibson 335,
and the finish was about 1/32"+ thick.

It has been a while since I filmed that video so I don't remember exactly how many coats I put on. Remember it is not how much you put on but how much you leave on.
