Wanted to open up a can of worms here and see what everyone's opinion is on cutting your trussrods. I am about to do this for the second time, but wanted to hear different opinions on this - This is for the Silver Willow and it's a traditional trussrod (Gibson style with a nut at the end) and I realize you cut these to size like I did on my last one, but I wanted to hear different theories as to how long it should be (And perhaps "Why")- so where does the lug end up approximately for a 22 fret guitar? 12th fret? The neck joint? Thanks! |

I would say longer is better, so around the joint. |
