Hey, whatever works. I don't use a knot, and I never have any tuning problems, and removing the old strings is a snap. |

Been doing that for a while on all my guitars. No slip stringing and helps them to stay in tune. It locks the string in place preventing tuning problems no matter how hard I bend. |
