i am thinking of doing an aanj neck pocket for a bolt on les paul/tele style shaped guitar.

the guitar i am doing it to is an old electric i am picking up used. the guitar itself sounds pretty good providing i replace the stock pickups but the metal mounting plate on the back just doesn't feel right...

since garage sale season started, i have been picking up old guitars and repairing/modding them then trading them for other guitars :D I recently downsized my collection and need a decent electric to take with me when i move next year. haha its just my classical and my 6 string uke right now...

StewMac has neck mounting ferrules. Use a forstner bit to drill flat bottom holes. You can smooth out the edges as well. Drop in the ferrels and put your screw thru it and you're good to go.
