i have been wondering, what do you guys think about laminate archtop guitars. i know they are supposed to have less feedback then carved tops... would a solid top laminate b/s work out great??

just wondering on what other people thoughts are

I think you can make a good guitar through any number of construction methods - whatever you do, just try to do it well!

Do you mean a solid pressed top? It 's one or the other, solid or laminated. It can't be both. But to answer your question....my D'Angelico NY-L2 has a solid pressed top and is a feedback magnet. The acoustic sound is good but a little dead. I don't know that any of them are better than another (carved, pressed or laminated), just different tools for different jobs.
