Anyone know where to find a scale drawing or template for a Gretsch Duo Jet? After seeing the video about the new Custom Shop George Harrison Duo Jet that Gretsch is making, I really want to make my own. I've always really liked the design. They're definitely comparable but I think there's a slight difference. I could be wrong; might be that all the other details make up the difference and my eyes are just playing tricks on me. That would be disappointing. If I'm not mistaken, the lower horn is a bit flatter (less dramatic of a curve) on the Duo Jet, and the waist doesn't go as deep towards the center line. Of course, if nobody knows of a place to find a scale drawing or template, the next best thing would be to take a Les Paul drawing and modify it. |
