I'm doing my first build and I'm really not sure what product to use to finish it. I'm making a telecaster and i want it to be a dark transparent red, I don't want a solid colour. I wanted to use nitro but I don't have the resources to apply it safely or succesfully so I think I'm going to go with waterbase lacquer. Is waterbase still ok to use, I want to eventually do nice gibson like sunburst.

thanks,

Dylan

Get some EM6000 and some transtint dyes and you should be good to go. If you search the forum you should yield a lot of results on different waterbased lacquers, I like EM6000
