Just don't let him burn it.
Maybe you should toy around with chopping off the upper horn,
to make it look more tele like?
Nice maple!
It's got those nice dark streaks in it,
that I like.
The fiddle is bordering on quilted, or something.
Nice!

Holy hell. That's a serious piece of maple. How thick is the top?

I would check to see how deep the holes go - you still may be able to get a contour top out of it??? The wood is spectacular!

A "friend" just gave that to you? Likely story!

Seriously, that's one lovely bit of jewelry. Very jealous now, and I don't make electrics.... yet.....

Yeah. Really! He stopped by for some single origin coffee. Next thing you know, I've got an ex-PRS blank.

If it's a genuine blank off the floor then the top should be about .814" thick.. :D

Nice top! It definitely looks like the real deal...great find! I'll look forward to seeing what you do with it!

It's photo-shopped, surely.

I know, I know, don't call me Shirley.

Can't wait to see you turn that into one of your masterpieces...

So....what did you tell him, Chris V?

Filippo, are you planning on keeping the body shape and just considering the other options, or did you have a different body shape in mind as well?

I had no idea PRS carve tops start with such a thick slab of maple! I have a Custom 24, and it's always felt like a slim guitar to me.
