Fun stuff Filippo! You've got a nice helper! I am just getting underway on a thinline as well. Double humbucker ala '72. Body is mostly done, I need to route openings in the back to access the controls (going with no pickguard). Top is quilted maple. Gotta figure out how to make the neck. Guess I'll pop the neck off my American Tele and copy that.

You skiing, Filippo? If so, I'm jealous! I grew up in Utah, and skiing is really pathetic here in Michigan.

I'll be building mine fairly true to form, though I'm not concerned about getting every detail. I do want the modern Tele headstock shape. The truss rod will be done similar to my acoustics as I will be using a zircote f/b.

Enjoy the high country!

Dang I never thought of all those qualities put together like that. An added bonus, it's a blank canvas on which to do some awesome color schemes if desired. I've been seriously underrating this wood.

Very cool Filippo! I'm in the process of building a tele as well so this is great to see. Quick question, did you make the routing template for the neck pocket/pickups that I see in the pictures? If so, how did you go about making it? I'm contemplating how I should go about making or buying a template such as the one you used.
