Post subject:  Funny twist in new guitar neck???

Hi, this is my first time here so I hope I'm in the right spot with this question.
I just picked up a new ESP and was fiddling with the neck. I have found (using some straight edges) that when I tried to flatten out the neck when I got the bass side of the fretboard flat there was still a bit of bow on the trebles side.
Does anyone know if there is a way the fix this???
Thanks

I'm not sure about basses, but guitars need a little bow at the 7th fret.
A small amount, away from the strings,
so you don't get buzzes at the lower frets.
How does it play, and how much is the bow,
up or down?
Or is it straight on both sides with a twist?
If it plays well,
I'd keep playing it.

Are the frets level or are you reading the fretboard directly with a notched straightedge?
If the frets are level then if there's relief on one side while the other side is straight, then you have a slight twist.
Truss rods adjust overall relief, they don't eliminate twists.
