Hey everybody. I've been reading this forum for a while and am really impressed with all the wonderful guitars being built. I wanted to introduce myself. I'm a builder in Portland, Oregon, making bolt-on neck solid body electrics. My stuff is a little different in that I use steel for my pickguards and cover plates, aluminum dots and I try having as much fun as possible with my finishes. Here are some pix. Thanks for the great forum - I've gotten a lot of useful information from you guys. Howdy from another P'towner. Look into showing your work at the Marylhurst hand made instrument show in April. Ciao! -C |

Hello Matt, Welcome to the forum. I really like the greeen burst guitar, good show on the finish. I was just discussing pickguards with a metalworker last week to go along with a new design I'm working on based on an old Teisco. Steve |

Hi Chas, I was going to do the Marylhurst show last year but had a conflict. Hope to be there this year. Hi Steve, thanks for the welcome, etc. Those old Teiscos are sure cool guitars. I hope you post some pix of your new design. I really like the steel pickguards. Not the easiest to make, but they add a lot to the guitar. |

Hi Matt, and welcome! Looks like you've built some fine looking axes there! I like that moss green color. Also, I like the two top horns, long and shor-ter. Alan |

Green has never been a fave of mine but that looks nice. (its not a typical colour that springs to mind at mention of the gre...word). The pickguard, backplate and darker neck suit that colour really well. Steve |

Yeah, green is a funny color when it comes to guitars. I've had people really love some green ones that I made, but I've also encountered some real green-haters. I like the green myself, but I'm a bit more sparing with it these days. In my defense, I've never made a pink guitar. Matt |

You have a unique take on guitars. Very funky. I mean that in a good way! Nothing wrong with Green guitars, if you ask me |
