I wanted to send Mike a shot of this strat copy I made in the 70's.
Solid b.e. maple body and neck.
Moon and stars inlay, (hippy!),
angled headstock, different from a strat.
The headstock mimmicks the horns, kind of.
I couldn't attach a photo in a P.M..

Thanks, Alan. That looks great! Love the figured maple.
I've been thinking on the P bass idea, and I think what I'm going to do is take the P body shape and alter it. Maybe scoop out the horns a little. I'm also really thinking about doing a carved top, if I can figure out how to do that and make it work, since the P bass bridge is so near the butt of the guitar body. Either way, though, I think by the time i get done I can do whatever type of headstock I want.
