A knurl was cut into the wood down inside the holes though it may be difficult to see that. For what it's worth, I doubt the knurl was really necessary here.

I'm getting pretty close to finishing this thing. Only parts left are the electronics cover and the truss rod cover....then gluing and finshing.

Thanks.

This guitar is built to use Seymour Duncan P-Rails....which is a combination of a P-90 and a single coil rail together in a single humbucker.

The larger toggle switch is a three-way and is wired up like a Les Paul. The mini-switches split the coils of each pickup and allow for any combination of P-90 (warm early Beatle-ish tone), a single coil rail (should sound Strat-ish), or both together as a humbucker. It's a REAL versatile setup.

Interesting thing about this pickup. When you choose the middle position on the three-way, and then split both pickups, the system will be noise cancelling...like a single humbucker. Pretty cool.

I know what you mean. I just finished installing Purpleheart purfling on my current electric build.
Nice work Stuart.

Thanks.....but I'm still not quite sure what verhoevenc was really asking. Since he sounds dutch I'm cutting him slack.

We're wondering if you would be interested in selling a few.

Sure! But let it be known I didn't solicit this. :)

I got plenty of 'em. The bottoms were shaped to mate with a depression on the guitar but they look pretty good on a flat surface. The inside is shaped to fully encapsulate the threaded post, the nut, and a washer so they sit pretty low.

They all have that same inlay.

PM me. :)

Sweet! Great looking and definately original! I like the little half moon indicators on the knobs and the guitar. Really cool!
