Hi all,

Just recently started my 1st scratch build. Roughly based on the Fender Esprit from the 80's.

I say roughly, as I will be using the basic body shape and it will be chambered but, after that, it will be mostly thing I've had floating around in my head for the last few decades.

Fortunately, a good friend of mine is a luthier, and has graciously agreed to guide me in this endeavor.

I'm a "lefty", schooled in Jazz, teach guitar for a living, have been playing almost 40 years and recently became very PO'd at the unavailability of left handed instruments. It was at that point that I decided to build my own.
So far, I've done two "parts" builds, a Strat style and a "Tele" style. Both turned out very well.

I look forward to "picking the brains" of the members here.

Cheers, Ron
