Is it necessary to place the pickup on an angle like the frets? Or can you just put it straight? I have a regular sized humbucker and was planning on placing it at an angle, but it looks like it may be too short to catch the top and bottom strings if placed on an angle. Thoughts appreciated. |

I've only built one multiscale electric. it's a 5 string bass, but the principle is the same. I put the pups in straight and it looks fine! |

straight, definitely, otherwise the pole pieces won't line up with the strings. |
