Post subject:  how does this bridge pin connect to the bridge?

Crazy question - I am about to install a harmonica bridge on a new build and I have never used this one before. I cannot figure out what keeps it together? Once I put the twp pins in the body the bridge seems to just sit on it. If i tilt it it falls off. String tension only? Epoxy? And how does the height adjusting feature work with this??? I am lost...

There should be recesses in the bottom of the bridge for the thicker section of the post to sit in, allowing the adjustment screw to come up to the hole in the top of the bridge. I don't see any saddles in the bridge. Have you taken them out?

I have taken the saddles out to replace with brass. The pins have nothing for the bridge to connect to. I guess string tension holds it in place? I raise and lower the pins but it doesn't connect in any way.

String tension would be my guess. I've never even seen that bridge before, but that stud and bushing looks very much like the studs and bushings that come with the tune-o-matic and stopbar on a Les Paul, and I'd be willing to bet it works the same way.
