I'm doing the final touches on the necks and it's time to get moving on the bodies so I finished the design today. The shapes behind the body represent the cavities inside the body. I will also produce a solid body design. I'll be making the bridge from scratch from stainless though I will also do aluminum and brass just to experiement with tone. The body is primarily mahogany. Everything in red will be bloodwood and the face plate will be some type of maple. The decorative flourishes are bloodwood inlays. I'm carrying over elements applied to the fret board and headstock facing. I hope it looks somewhat contiguous when it's all put together. We'll see. |
