hey guys!im jong from manila,phils.i just joined this forum cause i am a fan of custom guitars since i got my first custom from a local luthier here in manila.

anyway im a part time events manager and a guitarist for a 2pc ska band.im also a fan of holow guitars like gretsch and gibbys but since there has been lots of issues with these guitars and mostly since i cant afford them, i wanna build me my own punk hollow guitar.that way i can have my own design and build it like a tank and use it on hardcore gigs without me cringing whenever a silly mosher gets near it.haha.

i wanna build an es335, a white falcon, a country gentlema, a 69 strat, a thinline tele.

so can i ask for advice here as to where ill start my journey?also if you have any online books or books/cds that you can recommend for me to read about making these guitars.

Welcome to the site. I don't spend a lot of time here, and I have only built one guitar but I am sure there will be others that are more qualified coming along later to welcome you.

My first suggestion is to go through as many build threads as possible both here on OLF and other guitar building sites as well. There is a wealth of information out there that is available for just the time of reading.

Good luck with your build and you might want to do a build thead while you are building the guitar.
