I need some molds copied for making laminated guitar plates. Does anyone know where I can find someone to duplicarve my mold in wood?

Ken do a google for gunstock or furniture duplication. Those fields would be a good place to look.

At one time I owned three different duplicators at the same time....now it is cnc.

You don't by chance have a 3d model of the guitar top do you?

Termite, no I don't have a 3D model. It would be nice though.

What size is the top? I have a machine that can scan the top, but it is limited as to the size it can scan.

Hi Mark, that would be great! The plate mold is 22 inches long by about 20 wide.

The length isn't the problem, but the max width that it can scan is 14.75". I made my radius dishes with the machine, but I had to do it in two pieces. Are you trying to make a mold similar to a radius dish? If it can be scanned as a half, and then put together, then I have the capabilities.

It is a symmetrical mold and the arching is within 14.75", actually probably goes flat at about 13 inch. It is for ES 335 style double cutaway guitars.
