I'm building my first slotted headstock and seem to have run into an issue. I've thicknessed the headstock to 5/8" not realizing that the available slot head tuning pegs are all geared for a 3/4" headstock. Now I'm at a little bit of a loss as to what the best way to deal with the issue would be. Any ideas? (the fretboard isn't glued on yet) |

Glue another veneer to the back of the headstock. |

Very nice looking lap steel jaydawg! Yeah, I see Arnt beat me to the punch, just add an 1/8" lam to the back of the headstock. Just makes it a little classier. Joe |

Nice work! I just installed a set of Gotoh for Slot Head tuning machines, LMI Part # GGBSLOT. I just measured them and they are 5/8" |
