Stephen, Yeah, I am going to get a set of plans, this is not an exact copy by any means, but I want to use the same electronics set up and construction method ie. arched top, neck joint etc. Mostly what i need to know aside from actual wiring is body construction, specifically the electronics related parts... And of course it would be great to have a book for reference throughout the build... that coupled with this amazing forum and I should be smokin' along in no time! Thanks |

In melvin hiscock book he builds a set neck. It more a double cut away but it gives you the method to build in this style. I don't know of any books specific to les pauls. I always wondered why though. But stew mac sells a 52 les paul blueprint. It has p-90 pickups but that wouldn't be hard to alter. It is a quite good plan. ...Mike |

also look at the plans at Guitar plans Unlimited. Reasonable prices. I've used a few of them. http://guitarplansunlimited.com/ Mike |
