So I've got the scarf joint set and am ready to route the channel for the trussrod, which I have yet to order. the length of the neck from the butt of the nut to where the guitar will meet the body is 15 1/4", my question is how long of a trussrod will I need to make this work? All help is appreciated. Thank you! |

Andrew, generally, you just order a truss rood to the type of guitar you are building. For example, even though I use a high neck to body joint on a singlecut bass (almost at the 12th fret), I still use a full bass truss rod. Where the neck is joined to the body, it is fully constrained, but where it is free, it is free and will operate accordingly. Stephen |

Ok, thank you. That makes sense, though I think I am going to set this neck aside and maybe use for a cg build later on. I decided that it was to short after comparing to the body template. |
