Post subject:  Wide Tortoise Binding

Just wondering if anyone knows of a source for wide (1/2" or so) tortoise bindings? I see LMI has cellulose, but can't ship to Europe. Maybe there are Tor-Tis or plastic alternatives I have not found yet...I appreciate any help on this!

Thanks,

Russ

You could contact Axiom, Inc. http://axinc.net/storefront/default.aspx, they have a wide selection of celluloid nitrate products.

They can probably cut some wide bindings for you, but the shipping cost may be prohibitive as they must be shipped as a 'hazardous material', which means 'outrageously expenisve'.

Arnt,

Thanks for the reply, I have seen the Axiom site before. Nice products, but this is what put me off:

As a reference, most Haz/Mat shipments of 25 Lbs. or less are in the $300.00 US range for the shipping charges.

OUCH!! :)

Hopefully, I will be able to find a supplier in Europe, or possibly plastic material that is not considered hazmat.

Thanks!

Russ
