Mr. Pile has beaten me to it, but that is the thing. I used a flapper wheel to flush up the top and back of my first two guitars because I was scared to use a router. I used something like this:

Interesting.
I've been using a random orbital with 60 grit paper. Seems to work quickly and smoothly for me, and is easy to control.

I first got the idea to use a flap wheel grinder by looking at Jason Schroeder carve his tops with it. It makes very short work of carving, but you have to be very careful.

These are the exact brand of discs I use. They last forever and are very good at going through wood in a heartbeat.

You can probably thank Carlos Ray Norris for the name Chuck being so quickly thrown around for people named Charles.

I think it's an east coast thing to change names. My buddy and I were loaned to a division in upstate New York - He's Robert and I'm Jamie. They all called us Bob and Jim... hated it!!!

But seriously I do think your right that its an east coast thing. I live in the east and work in the west. everyone back home seems to be called by a shorter version of their real name.

TGW, im actually thinking about not doing anymore countersunk controls. I dont know why, its not a big deal to do, Im just not sure I want to mess with it.
