I am currently working on a double cutaway body I bought offline cheap. It has a bolt on neck kind of pocket and I'm not sure of the placement of the neck. I don't know if that when I put in the pickup ring that it goes under the extra bit of fret board or if I have to move the neck back a little so the pickup ring isn't under it. There is a line on the heel but I don't know if I should go by that.

The neck is positioned to the saddle, do not move to position it for the pickup ring.

What John said, unless you want to move the bridge too.
