Yeah, sad news. I had a guy ask me if I could build him an aluminum-necked guitar 2 days after he passed. Seemed odd, then I put it all together. He must've checked ebay and seen old Travis Bean prices skyrocket. There was a guy who pushed the envelope. I wish I could've gotten my hands on one. A friend of a friend of mine owns one and spoke of it like a religious experience to play.

I remember a picture of him making 2 aluminum necks on a lathe,
with some sandpaper,
and they were attached somehow where the fretboard will end up.
You know, like a 2 neck sandwich?
2 at once.
