First off, I am new member to this forum. But, I have been lurking here for quite a while to gather information and inspiration. Around 1990, I was in my early 20s and bought a Kramer guitar from a co-worker because I wanted to use it as a starting point for building my own guitar body. The neck and the Floyd rose were the parts I wanted to re-use. I also purchased some EMG pickups. It ended up being an unplayable disaster for many reasons. So it sat…and sat…for 2 decades.
I finally got the itch to try again. So here is the original body next to the new body…

Thanks for the compliments. No real buffing wheel. I picked up a couple of drill foam pads from stew mac. As far as the photography (I am only a hobbiest with that too - so keep that in mind!), the two biggest things in my mind are lighting and a tripod. I built a 4'x2'x2' light box to photograph jewelry boxes I sell on eBay (to support my woodworking hobby). It is just plywood strips, a cheap sheet, shop lights, and an old storm window.




When I photographed the guitar, I just used parts of the light box. When I photographed it standing upright, I turned the back 90 degrees and clamped it to one side. For the 'on its' back photos, I just used it as seen in the pic above minus the left side.

Well done! Looks great overall but the finish is especially handsome.
