Hey guys...I made a Plexiglass Template with my band saw and now I need to smooth out the edges. I can't seem to get it smooth by sanding it but I don't know how to use my router and get the curves smooth. Am I missing a step? Thanks!

It should sand just fine, use wet/dry. It will not power sand very well because the heat created when saning gums things up. I would recommend against using a router. P/G is too brittle.

You can try chucking a drum sander into your drill press and stepping the speed down as low as it goes. Might still be too fast. Might not. Try it on a piece of scrap.

I cut mine on the band saw as well. Then I taped my 1/2 guitar body 3/8 in ply wood template on the acrylic with doublesided tape. Then I put that on my router with a flush trim bit. Came out perfect. Cut one side of the guitar body first - then flip the wood template and cut the other side. Eyewear is essential !
