I am using wood binding on my guitar and I was wondering if I should leave it off until I have applied the analine dye, or apply the binding and tape it off before staining. I am concerned about the water based dye bleeding under the tape and getting onto the binding.

I do it just like Chris...

1. I tape of my top
2. Seal my bindings
3. Tape of my bindings
4. Dye my top
4. Spray fiinish mixed with dye on the top to bring out the binding line if it is not firm enough for my eye....

Stephen
